Meet Lisa

Lisa is a Camberwell personal trainer. Lisa comes from a European background where they eat, sleep, and breath soccer. As a result she loves most sports enjoying playing and watching them. Lisa has played soccer since she was 8 and still does now.  She is a huge fan of the German national soccer team and Hertha Berlin in the German Bundesliga.

Loving sports has kept her fit and health and she loves to workout 6 days a week. She is a pretty laid back person and she loves getting together with friends and family and have a laugh. Life is short so she is someone that will give almost anything a go (especially if it gives people a laugh) as you only live once.

Training Style & Influences

My training style is that I believe in the tough love approach, I will spur my clients on in a fierce but compassionate way. My functional based training workouts are comprised of vigorous free weight based strength & cardio intervals designed to push you outside your comfort zone for maximum results. I’m not someone that fights to stay in a comfort zone when training because as long as you fight for it then you get to keep it and the results won’t follow. It will be hard, it will hurt and it will challenge every part of you but it has to be in order for you to see and feel yourself getting fitter and stronger.

    I have played a few sports over the years and have a strong base in sports/athlete training needs, from speed to endurance or agility to strength. My functional based training methods are catered to all fitness types and goals, whether it be fat loss, toning, muscle building  and from a beginner stage to advanced training.  Nutrition is a key focus for me also.  I have done quite a lot of research into the nutritional aspects of improving health and fitness. HIIT (high intensity interval training) training is an area I focus on intensely as the results of HIIT training are some of the fastest produced results in terms of fat loss and building strength.

Why I Became a Personal Trainer

I was always very athletic as a kid and have played soccer all my life. Injuries over the years cost me a career in soccer so I started to do a lot of strength and conditioning training to strengthen my knees and ankles and found a love for training.  I was doing a lot of Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels workouts which are ridiculously taxing on the body but I loved the brutality and the challenge of it. I started to follow Bob and Jillian on the Biggest Loser U.S.A and fell in love with their attitude and passion for training so that was when I decided it was the perfect career for me and I’ve never looked back.
