Meet Skye

Skye is a Preston personal trainer. After completing high school, Skye worked as a chef gaining valuable experience for a number of years. During this time she realised that her calling was in sports and fitness. Reflecting on the time she spent in the gym, in aerobic classes, playing squash and weight training, Skye decided to change her career focus towards the health and fitness industry. Skye's humble beginnings started as a gym and aerobics instructor before progressing into personal training. Along the way she has refined her knowledge and experience earning many qualifications including:

- Certificate IV in Fitness - YMCA
- Personal Training at the National college of Fitness
- BodySTEP and BodyCOMBAT Les Mills
- Personal Training Certificate through Fitnation
- Body Satisfaction training program
- Dealing with Knee Injuries and Conditions
- Advanced Pilates Floor Exercises at Fitnation
- First Aid - Level 2 & CPR

Skye has worked in the fitness industry since 1999 and despite having worked in many gyms and health clubs, she feels that personal training is the most efficient form of exercise to get RESULTS!

Training Style & Influences

My style of training includes weight training, cardio boxing and cardio training. I love weight training because of how it makes myself and my clients feel at the end of the training session. It is wonderful to see people increase their personal strength and feel a sense of achievement.

My training at a boxing gym helped me realise the many benefits of boxing style training. Boxing helps with speed, power, self confidence and if you are having a bad day it is a great stress releaser. Cardio is also about building endurance. To run, skip, go up a flight of stairs, and each time to go a little farther is a great indicator of improved fitness.

    Women's Fitness - I feel women feel safer and more comfortable with a female trainer coming to their home or meeting in a park. I want to make training as easy as possible and am happy to train women at home with their children. I bring all the equipment needed and set up the individual programs in your own backyard. I do train couples as well.
