Meet Dave!
Dave is a Lawnton personal trainer. Dave has had an exciting career as an infantry soldier, with deployments to Somalia, Rwanda and East Timor. During his time there he has been in situations where his physical and mental health meant the difference between life and death. Dave felt that his role as a Senior instructor at the ADF was a challenging but also an incredibly rewarding experience. He received many awards, including: Australia Day medal, chief of army commendation and distinguished service medal. Dave was discharged due to a debilitating disease that was affecting his joints, which resulted in him feeling incapable of doing anything. He spent a number of years struggling to deal both mentally and physically due to all his limitations. Dave felt very fortunate and was thrilled to be told a medical solution was available to assist him recover, as he knew that his dreams of fully participating in life again would come true. Dave took it one step at a time to meet his personal goals. This started for Dave when he won a 12 week Body for life challenge which ignited his passion for helping others and his desire to assist his clients overcome whatever obstacles stand in their way to a full, long, healthy life.

My training style focuses on Military background as well as rehabilitation. I have had personal experience in this area which is why I am the best example for my clients. My training involves balance between finding inner strength and self discipline, which engages functional fitness that promotes confidence in life. Jackie is a Carindale personal trainer. Jackie started her career in the fitness industry in 1990 after completing her fitness practices at Kangaroo Point College of TAFE. She has continued advancing her qualifications by studying at Australia YMCA Institute of Education and Training and then at Fitlink Australia. Jackie has worked at two major female fitness clubs, planning and instructing fitness programs as well as teaching group fitness. She has worked in many areas with a background in sales management, gym management and as a group fitness coordinator. Jackie’s most loved passion is personal training although she has thoroughly enjoyed the many areas she has worked in gyms.

Jackie has worked with a diverse range of people including, older clients, unfit and fit clients, as well as people who need more assistance with emotional support and motivation. Jackie has also worked with clients who are in need of rehabilitation whilst being a companion and providing extra support for them. Training Style & Influences
My own personal experience is my main influence while training my clients. I joined the gym when I was 18 years of age, weighing close to 90 kilograms, I was struggling to lose weight and get fit. I relate well to clients who need to be pushed and encouraged. I will work with them to help them know what they want, to believe in themselves and have hope. I bring variety to my sessions so my clients are always eager and they stay focused on reaching their goals and achieving results.

My training style for clients who want to lose weight, improve fitness and overall health focuses on interval cardio programs. This includes basic compound strength training with fit ball core stability. All my clients work to a simple and easy to follow fitness program which is suited to them to ensure they see results.
