Meet Betsy!
Betsy is a Gungahlin personal trainer. I am a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, and have qualifications to teach Freestyle Cycle Classes, Boxing and Basic Kettlebell Exercises. I am also an accredited Heartmoves Instructor. In addition to Personal Training, I am also a practising Deep Tissue and Relaxation Massage Therapist.

I ran my first half-marathon in 1994 in Cyprus, and in the years since then have participated in a variety of sporting activates, including a number of SydneyCity2Surf fun runs; Urban Polaris; Tour de Femme; Canberra Half-Marathon and Triathlons.

For the last six years my sport of choice has been Dragon Boat Racing, and in 2011 I achieved selection as a member of the ACT Representative team at the 2011 Australian National Dragon Boat Championships, where our division won a medal in our racing category. In 2012 my club won three medals in our racing categories.
Training Style & Influences
My training style is based on functional movements and exercises that are relevant to activates of daily life – not just what might be trendy at the moment. PT sessions usually include balance and flexibility in addition to cardio and weights. To encourage a holistic development of an individual’s strength and fitness.

Meet Shannon!
Shannon is a Gungahlin personal trainer. Throughout my life I have participated in countless numbers of different sports. Horse Riding, Skiing, Snow Boarding, Surfing, Sailing, Swimming, Football, OZ Tag, Badminton, Netball and Basketball. Whilst some have stuck and others not so much… it is safe to say I love physical activity. During the year 11 and 12 there was a lot of talk about different Universities and carious degrees, I had no idea what I was going to do so I got to thinking about what I was passionate about; Fitness and helping people. Once I completed my year 12 at Canberra Girls Grammar I began my Cert III and IV in Fitness at the Australian Institute of Fitness. The more I learn about Personal Training the more confident I become in my choice to do what I am passionate about.

Throughout my life experiences in various sports and PT sessions from different trainers I have formed a list of elements that a Personal Training session must be; enjoyable, effective, within client capabilities, set with clients goals in mind and specific to the clients needs and wants.

Meet Nina!
Nina is a Gungahlin personal trainer. I am a 25 year old graduate Exercise and Sport Scientist Personal Trainer who has 4 year experience in the health and fitness industry. My expertise lie predominantly with special needs populations and individuals who prefer or require special guidance in their training – predominantly exercise rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries or management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension or obesity.

I also implement expert programs of a sport-specific nature as well as preparing for specific fitness-related events such as fun runs/ marathons/ body sculpting.
I have the capacity to tailor programs specifically for my individual clients in order to achieve optimal benefits out of the training.

This is my passion – to make training and exercise a lifestyle decision, to become a day-to-day routine – and enjoy it!

I have always been health focused and fitness oriented as long as I can remember and it is my pleasure to pass on my experience, advice and knowledge onto my clients.

Having an exercise physiology background influences me to be technique-focused and pay particular attention to training detail at every aspect of the ongoing training – from applying exercise principles that are individually tailored right through to nutrition.

Meet Sarah!
Sarah is a Gungahlin personal trainer. After playing elite softball, I fell in love with the Fitness Industry. I started weight training at the ago of 14 and have never looked back. Thanks to one of my teachers in college, I then became a Personal Trainer. I love my job and the results and benefits from it.
