Meet Simon

Simon is a Preston personal trainer. Hi I’m Simon currently based out of Genesis fitness club in Preston.  

I have been working in the fitness industry for the last 3 years as a qualified personal trainer.  I have an extensive background in nutrition and food planning from years of experience as a commercial chef.  

My experience in the fitness industry has included running corporate exercise programs, mobile personal training, boot camps and working in a boutique personal training environments.  

With the drive that I have for fitness and obtaining results and my experience as a qualified chef, I am able to tailor a plan to suit anyone’s needs.

Training Style & Influences

I implement to my programs a lot of functional exercises to focus on core muscle groups that are used every day. My training tools include  aqua power bags, TRX suspension trainer, power bands, medicine balls free weights and body weight exercises.  

Each of my clients have a personalized training and nutrition program in addition to access to a health portal, which includes fitness assessments along with before and after bio age results. VO2 max and muscular endurance.

  • Certificate III in Fitness - Gym Instructor
  • Certificate IV in Fitness - Personal Trainer
  • Level 2 First Aid
  • Boxing level 1 & 2
  • Certificate 3 in commercial cookery
  • Certificate 4 in training assessment

Why I Became a Personal Trainer

I have had a passion for the fitness industry for some time and that has driven me, to get other people healthy and to their fitness goals. Motivation can be a big downfall in any fitness regime and I want to share my knowledge to help others get motivated too. Being a chef allowed me to acquire extensive knowledge relating to nutrition and healthy cooking practices, which I wanted to impart on others
