Personal Trainer Felicia - "Fit and Fabulous...Start your transformation today!" Sydney Personal Trainer

Meet Felicia

Felicia is a Woonona personal trainer. Felicia feels that the fitness industry is the only field she would ever work in as she gets so much personal satisfaction from meeting new women and listening to them, understanding their journey and goals, and the fun part - empowering these ladies to become fit and fabulous!

Felicia herself has a very sporty upbringing playing competitve ladies tennis for several years but only joined the gym culture in her 30's after having her three daughters. As a result of the success she achieved in becoming fitter, stronger, leaner, happier and more confident, she knew she wanted to help others achieve similar results and feelings through fitness. The benefits she wants her clients to achieve include physical, emotional, health related and many others. Felicia feels she can relate to women who are embarking on a journey to transform themselves as she has.

Felicia studied for one full year at a Sydney TAFE to become qualified. She worked at 3 different gyms and also was a group fitness instructor teaching Pump and boxing and also aquarobics up to 8 classes per week. She loves to train women outdoors and either one on one or in a group atmosphere. Her passion for the past couple of years has been training women at Fernwood Health Clubs.

Training Style & Influences

All training sessions are tailor made for each client. Therefore a pure strength training session includes a short cardio warmup followed by two to three lower body super-sets and also super-sets for the upper body (alternate between upper and lower). I also love to include cross training also combining heavy-moderate weights exercise in a continuous cycle (e.g. tabata) followed with cardio intervals of quite high intensity. Boxing is great to throw into an hour workout to keep the heart rate high and also adds an element of fun.

  • And in more detail...
Strength training for women - I tend to offer the most expertise in strength training. I enjoy seeing my clients transform from weak to strong. Many beginners do not realise the extensive benefits you obtain from weight training especially how this contributes to weight-loss (through muscle gain).

Beginners Training - I train people in all areas of fitness but I feel like I can empathise with those clients who are joining a gym for the first time who may feel anxious and unfit who need reassurance and explanation.

Why I Became a Personal Trainer

Simply because I love to keep myself fit and as healthy as can be. I am not so obsessive about it as life gets so busy when we women must juggle so many roles. Being a personal trainer requires passion and motivation as well as good communication. I've been told I pass all this onto my clients. At the end of the day, becoming a personal trainer was about helping clients become more knowledgeable about fitness and health and sharing in their success and happiness which I help to create!
