Meet Alice

Alice is a St Kilda personal trainer. The gym was once a foreign place to me, after spending  the majority of my life overweight, I decided to make a change and step into the gym for the first time. I was deer-eyed and terrified! over time, I started noticing how better I was feeling after a session at the gym compared to the days I didn’t go to the gym. As I was losing weight and gaining body strength my interest in the fitness area grew so much that I enrolled myself into a personal training course. I have now lost 35 kilograms and I am a qualified personal trainer currently working at Fernwood St Kilda as well as running Beach Body Boost Bootcamp. My clients will tell you my training style is a little different to the usual bicep curl or traditional squats and this is what sets me apart from other trainers. I have an eye for correcting posture and any other issues that cause pain.

Training Style & Influences

High intensity interval training that involves tabata, fast circuits and boxing. I tend to avoid long rest periods to encourage one's hearth rate to stay up as well as teaching one how to get the accurate amount of oxygen in before the next round begins. Taking boot camps are a great way for social interaction as well as changing up one's routine, as we all tend to do the same thing each time we come to the gym

    I specialize and am trained as a Bootcamp fitness instructor running boot camps at Fernwood for their Beach Body Boost 8 week weight loss program. Running fast circuits that involve body weight and equipment exercises. I also specialize in boxing classes and one on one boxing fitness training. I enjoy training a wide variety of clients from the ones that are terrified of the weights area to the seasoned-well trained client.

Why I Became a Personal Trainer

After seeing the physical transformation from myself and the overall happiness that developed from losing my weight, I want to pass on my knowledge to other people who are a little lost and unsure of how to change their routine. Exercise shouldn’t be a scary or daunting experience, it should be fun with an outlet to get all your frustrations from the day out, and just enjoy yourself. The best thing about being a trainer is seeing those smiles from my clients when they realize they have lost weight, their clothes are too big for them, or can do more reps than the last time
