Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced exerciser, cardio training at Fernwood Women’s gym Hornsby will give you a magical rush of feel-good endorphins in the process. But like any exercise, the secret is to go slowly. Get to a stage where you can walk briskly for half an hour, then spend a couple of sessions getting used to our treadmills, steppers, cross trainers, bikes, rowers and more.
You might start at a low intensity for two to five minutes, a higher intensity for two, then repeat that four or five times. Gradually increase your training time and shorten recovery periods. Before you know it, you’ll be going non-stop for 10 minutes. Aim to do cardio three times a week, but be guided by how you feel.
