Meet Michelle

Michelle is a dynamic person who has a positive outlook on life. Unlike other personal trainers, Michelle does not come from a sporting background, but enjoys the physical and mental benefits of being fit and active. She understands that the traditional gym atmosphere does not suit every person and not all people feel comfortable exercising. She aims to make every session fun and enjoyable, as well as educational. Michelle initially assess all her clients thoroughly and then prescribes exercises that address physical issues that clients have due to their work and lifestyle. She specialises in working with pregnant women and mothers of all ages. Michelle also works closely with a dietician and they currently present information sessions on post-pregnant diet and exercise to groups around Melbourne.

Training Style & Influences

Michelle believes in looking at your lifestyle as it is at present and finding ways to make positive changes that are long-lasting and long-reaching. She does not believe in crash diets, or bootcamps - but that each person is a work in progress and small changes are easier to maintain for a lifetime. Michelle understands the difficulty to get back your fitness or start a new fitness programme after having children. Her training style is solidly focused on the needs of both pregnant women and post-pregnancy. Part of this is allowing children to be present during training sessions.

Why I Became a Personal Trainer

I enjoyed the positive aspects of being fit after having my children and suffering from post-natal depression. It enabled me to not only cope with the demands of being a sole parent, but to enjoy time spent with my children. I wanted to help others to achieve not only a more positive outlook on life, but also enjoy the flow on to other parts of your life, whether it be social, family or work.
