Meet Matt

Matt is a Melbourne personal trainer. Matt has a strong foundation in fitness through his degree in exercise science from Deakin University. He has been practising as a personal trainer since 2002 successfully dealing with a variety of clients ranging from children, adults and mature-age. He has experience in many different training styles from 1 on 1 training, group training and outdoor training. Matt's sports background includes football where he is a life member of the Montrose football club where has played around 200 senior football games.

Training Style & Influences

In my training I realise what intensity is required to meet specific goals. I understand that every person is different and needs to be pushed and motivated in different ways. My main aim is to challenge each client with a variety of exercises. Their body will not be used to using weights, body weight or plyometric work, for example, which will help with fast and consistent results.

  • Certificate III in Fitness - Gym Instructor
  • Certificate IV in Fitness - Personal Trainer
  • Level 2 First Aid
  • Bachelor of Exercise Science (Human Movement)
  • Fitness Aus Level 3
