Meet Thais

Thais is a Melbourne personal trainer. Thais developed a passion for fitness at the early age of 4. Her passion grew through 14 years of dance training and after high-school she pursued a career in fitness, studying Physical Education for 4 years in a University in Brazil. Equipped with knowledge about sports, fitness and human movement, Thais ventured into Personal Training, Group instructing and swim coaching for 3 years after university. In February 2007 she decided to leave Brazil and explore the world creating new experiences in her life. Her travels have brought her to Melbourne where she brings a vast array of skills and knowledge about health and fitness to her clients. She has enjoyed every single moment in her new life in Australia and she wants to share her happiness in life with all the people she meets.

Training Style & Influences

My training style is influenced by my background in dance and different types of sports training I have played including volleyball and swimming. Through my knowledge in Physical education and experience in coaching I have developed a style that brings out the best in you as I help you develop better health through fun exercises, corrective exercises and sport-specific exercises.

    Weight-loss - I normally train my clients by combining cardio and resistance training. If you are looking to lose weight, you have to change your lifestyle. So I help my clients with nutritional advice and developing healthy habits so they can maintain longevity in their results.

    Core stability - I believe that core work is central to you posture alleviating many potential problems especially for corporate office clients. I helped clients reduce back pain while increasing core muscular structures. Most of my clients feel considerable improvements in their posture and weight management.

Why I Became a Personal Trainer

I became a trainer through my experience in dancing and the passion I developed for fitness as a child. My efforts to help people and change their lives in a healthy and positive way is reinforced by my studies and experience in coaching. I feel really happy when my clients get positive results. As they feel better about themselves and make healthy and positive lifestyle changes, it makes me happy that I've made a difference in someone's life.
